 Lockdown has been hard on everyone, not being to go out, not celebrating special occasions or even hanging out with friends. However, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. A group of friends were discussing in their group chat what they wanted to plan for their first big outing to Cardiff after lockdown is over, they planned a girls shopping trip to get their outfits sorted for their first night out in months. However, a couple of the girls mentioned that they have been put on furlough as they haven't been able to work so they don't have a lot of money to spend on the shopping spree. Although later that day the group of friends meet up in town and started to discuss what shops they were going to first, arriving at St Davids shopping centre they were surrounded by fast fashion retail stores such as River island and Zara which Emily was against pointing out to the others that they bare unethical and not sustainable fashion brands she suggests to the group if they could go to more eco friendly stores like charity shops or second hand stores. However, Olivia spots a dress in the shop window which she instantly loved and had to try it on she points to Zara and wants to have a look around so the group follow her. The girls all found outfits which they loved and were perfect for their night out however, after looking at the price tag they realised they were too expensive and couldn't afford them. They decided have a look around Cardiff for somewhere cheaper to shop, when Emily spots The British Heart Foundation nearby and they decide to go in and have a look around. Alice shouts the the other girls to show them what she has found, it's a second hand Channel dress in perfect condition at a bargain price, the girls can't believe what they have found. The girls all pay for their clothes and are then informed that all the proceeds go towards charity making a positive and ethical change, the girls feel happy and positive about not supporting fast fashion brands and choosing sustainable brands instead. The girls leave the shop making their way home very happy after a successful day shopping and finding amazing outfits ready for their first night out.
